The U-Blox's Max-M10 series is based on ultra-low power consumption U-Blox M10 GNSS platforms, providing excellent sensitivity and collection time for all L1 GNSS (global navigation satellite system). The extremely low power consumption of this module is lower than 25mW under continuous tracking mode, allowing all battery operation equipment (such as asset tracking) to have good power autonomy and not affect the performance of GNSS.

MAX-M10 supports 4 GNSS (GPS, Glonass, Galileo and Beidou) at the same time. A large number of visible satellites enable the receiver to choose the best signal, provide better performance at a lower power cost, and use challenging conditions, such as the canyon deep in the city, maximize position availability. The U-Blox Super-S technology provides a high radio frequency sensitivity, which can improve the dynamic position accuracy of up to 25%in small antenna or non-visual distance scenarios.

The Max-M10 series detects interference and deception and reports them to the host so that the system can respond to them. The advanced filtering algorithm reduces the effects of radio frequency interference and interference, enabling the product to operate as expected. And support cloud positioning service CloudLocate GNSS, which can achieve low power consumption in 10 seconds. The U-Blox M10 supports compact messages of 12 bytes, 20 bytes, or 50 bytes, which can use the service even with limited connections in bandwidth.

The MAX-M10S-00B module integrates LNA and SAW filters in the RF path to achieve the maximum sensitivity of the passive antenna design. Including the TCXO module, supporting 1.8 V and 3V input voltage. There is also a setting of cost and power optimization, without LNA and SAW filters. It contains an XTAL oscillator that supports a wide input voltage range from 1.8 V to 5.5 V. Compared with MAX-M10S-00B, it saves up to 9 mW power.

Each module is compatible with previous generations of U-Blox, which saves designers to upgrade their design time and cost. This makes migration to new designs faster, lower cost, and obtain many unique performance characteristics. The comparison of the old series and the M10 series products are shown below. U-Blox encourages customers to use the Max-M10 series for new design. Those customers who use the old series designed are encouraged to upgrade to MAX-M10 because the supply of old products has become more limited.

The EVK-M101 evaluation kit is very suitable for evaluating the performance of the U-Blox M10 positioning technology. It uses a small and sturdy metal shell. The 14 -needle front connector provides access to all chip interface pins and allows current measurement. The user's application board can interface with the embedded U-Blox M10 chip through the SPI or I2C bus. This package includes U-CENTER 2 PC software, which is used for the configuration, testing, visualization and data analysis of U-Blox GNSS products. U-CENTER 2 provides useful help at all stages of system integration projects.

XPLR-Iot-1 Explorer toolkit is a ready-made development platform with key IoT components and services and can be used for many different use cases and applications. The browser tool package includes Max-M10S, Honeycomb, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth technology and cloud communication services.
