RECOM is pleased to announce a new all-in-one box DC/DC power supply for use in electric vehicles. With the push for zero-emission mobility, the ideal solution for non-passenger-type specialty vehicles is battery drive, which requires DC/DC power to generate an isolated auxiliary power rail from the power battery. The new range of cost-effective and compact RMODs is ideal for this application and can be installed in any unprotected position of the vehicle thanks to its IP6x rating, fully sealed against moisture and dust.
Products are available in 300W, 360W, 400W, 500W and 600W rated power, and higher power can be obtained by paralleling. Each model works with a different input, covering nominal 24V, 36V, 48V, 60V, 80V and 90V battery voltages, while some models have a wide input range that includes up to five nominal voltages. The series offers a variety of single outputs: 12.2V, 13V, 13.7V, 24V and 24.5V. Certified isolation voltages up to 2.25kVDC and operating temperatures up to 75°C to 90°C, depending on the model.
The RMOD series is designed to be plug-and-play, with standard connection devices and chassis mounting. Multiple protection features ensure product robustness, including input reverse polarity protection, over temperature, output overcurrent/short circuit and output overvoltage protection. This series meets the requirements of EMC, radiation, shock/vibration, thermal shock/temperature cycling, salt spray, water and dust resistance and safety standards.
