     PLT5 522FA_P-M12 514nm (±1nm) standard laser can replace the traditional peak wavelength of 514.5nm argon ion laser in scientific and measurement equipment applications. The PLT5 522FA_P-M12 semiconductor laser is more economical than argon ion lasers, smaller in size, longer in operating life, and does not require a cumbersome water-cooling mechanism. A single mode laser weighs only a few grams, while the cooling and power supply for conventional argon ion lasers typically weigh several kilograms.

      In the past, the production of 514nm semiconductor lasers has been limited by extensive selection and customization (to meet the wavelength requirements). This 514nm laser will enable customers to generate a narrow bandwidth using a VBG or external cavity design, further reducing the bandwidth to < 0.1nm for applications such as Raman spectroscopy and holography.

      The PLT5 522FA_P has an optical power output of 50mw at 514nm ±1nm (Bin M12) wavelength. It is compatible with fluorescents in the 514nm range and with various third-party lenses, making the laser suitable for a wide range of life science applications, including: Flow cytometry, confocal microscopy and spectroscopy, material identification and analysis, diagnosis, DNA sequencing and forensic analysis
